Paulet Wairagu is the new Tableau User Group Lead for Kenya, stepping in to guide the community's next chapter of events, spotlights and hands-on Tableau learning. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, and has built her career at the intersection of data engineering and analytics ever since.
She currently works as a Data Analyst at UN-Habitat (the United Nations Human Settlements Programme), where she builds Power BI dashboards for programme monitoring, consolidates data from sources like SharePoint and Excel into centralised reporting solutions, and automates recurring reporting with Power Query and Power Automate. Before that, she spent nine months as a Data Warehouse Intern at the World Food Programme in Mombasa, writing SQL to prepare data for operational reporting and building Power BI and Tableau dashboards to monitor supply chain and logistics performance - work recognised with the WFP She Inspires Award (2025) for leadership and collaboration.
Across SQL, Python, dbt, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI and Tableau, Paulet's interests lie in data engineering and analytics engineering - data warehousing, data modelling and ETL/ELT pipelines that turn raw data into reliable, decision-ready products. Kenya TUG is thrilled to welcome her leadership and can't wait to see where she takes the group next.
